What You Need to Know About Superfood Supplements

We all know the benefits of eating a diet full of foods high in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. But doing so consistently can be a challenge.

In today’s busy world, we often find ourselves needing more from our food. And this is where superfoods come in.

What are Superfoods?

In short, superfoods are highly nutrient-dense foods. They contain high amounts of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. When you consume superfoods, you maximise the health benefits associated with these nutrients.

The definition applies to foods as they are in nature — such as kale or blueberries — as well as supplements.

Chia seeds are versatile. To experience the benefits, you can add chia seeds to your breakfast cereal, sprinkle them over a salad or make your own chia pudding.

4. Maca

The Maca plant is native to Peru and contains a whole host of essential nutrients, including:

  • Magnesium
  • Fibre

Aside from the obvious benefits associated with these nutrients, research suggests Maca can also improve reproductive health.

5. Manuka Honey
